A conversation about how to ‘loosen up’ and have a different way of approaching your work.

 

A short discussion on abstract art and how Jan approaches it.  A conversation about how to ‘loosen up’ and have a different way of approaching your work.
Continuing on to a demonstration to show how Jan begins an abstract painting relating to references from her plein air sketches and painting books.
Then to participants commencing on their own work with instruction and guidance from Jan.

About the tutor

Jan Cristaudo lives on the Pittwater Peninsular among Sydney’s beautiful northern beaches.
This idyllic location, together with her frequent travels, provides an endless source of inspiration.
The use of colour is her preferred method of expression and she has a distinctive style using oils on canvas to interpret the subjects that inspire her.
Jan’s paintings are held by individual and corporate clients.

Cancellation / Refund Policy

If you find you are no longer able to attend:
Please advise eventscaw@gmail.com ASAP so we can notify the next in line.
Please include your name and the name of the workshop/event.
Refunds will be given at CAW’s discretion, if:
The participant withdraws from the event or workshop at least 14 days prior to commencement.
The place can be filled by someone on the waiting list.
The workshop is cancelled by CAW.

Materials list

  • Paints: oils or acrylics
  • Solvents: odourless please
  • Brushes: an assortment
  • Rags
  • Palette
  • Containers for water or solvent
  • Canvases: A good quality one or two — no smaller than 50 x 50cm — any shape and prepared with gesso
  • A photo or image that has meaning to you — a few if you are not sure, then we can choose
  • Any tools you like to paint with or have in your art supply.
HOW THE FORM WORKS

It is far easier and quicker to pay for a product or service on a website with a credit card / Debit card.

CAW has set up a simple form below to allow you to book your Workshop, Art Group or Tutored Class and pay immediately. You will receive an email confirming your booking and payment.

  1. Go to the form and select the appropriate Fee.
  2. The Total should reflect your selection
  3.  Complete your card details and then click SUBMIT.

If applicable on the form you selected, our 'count-down' shows you how many spots are still available for this class. It reduces after every booking and when '0' no more bookings can be made. However, the SUBMIT button still works. So please DO NOT click submit when you see '0' spots left.
