Working from your own drawings or even photographs, participants etch information from an image placed underneath a clear perspex plate. Using course cheese cloth printers ink is applied to the plate before light areas are wiped away to create  a tonal painting. 

The plate is then placed on the press, covered with heavy damp  Hahnemuhle printers paper and pressed. 

About the tutor

As a practicing artist Rick is passionate about teaching others the skill sets required to empower creativity.
He has been part of the Canberra Art Workshop management team since 2006 where he has also convened a life drawing group every Wednesday night. Primarily an oil painter, he is also a skilled printmaker.
Now cutting back on full time work, Rick will concentrate more on teaching and exhibiting in 2021.

Cancellation / Refund Policy

If you find you are no longer able to attend:
Please advise eventscaw@gmail.com ASAP so we can notify the next in line.
Please include your name and the name of the workshop/event.
Refunds will be given at CAW’s discretion, if:
The participant withdraws from the event or workshop at least 14 days prior to commencement.
The place can be filled by someone on the waiting list.
The workshop is cancelled by CAW.

Materials list

All materials supplied in the course cost.

Participants may wish to print their own images as source material.

Wear old clothes or aprons.

HOW THE FORM WORKS

It is far easier and quicker to pay for a product or service on a website with a credit card / Debit card.

CAW has set up a simple form below to allow you to book your Workshop, Art Group or Tutored Class and pay immediately. You will receive an email confirming your booking and payment.

  1. Go to the form and select the appropriate Fee.
  2. The Total should reflect your selection
  3.  Complete your card details and then click SUBMIT.

If applicable on the form you selected, our 'count-down' shows you how many spots are still available for this class. It reduces after every booking and when '0' no more bookings can be made. However, the SUBMIT button still works. So please DO NOT click submit when you see '0' spots left.
