Play to Print – Alternate Printmaking Techniques (Tuesday 10.15am-1.15pm)

This 6 weeks course in Playful Printmaking will introduce you to 3 forms of easy and effective mixed media printmaking on both paper and fabric. We will use botanical materials, stencils, masks and random materials to explore tone, texture and line through the processes of printmaking, layering and collaging to create visual excitement in small works of art, These may include artists books and small scrolls. The methods include ‘iron water’ botanical printing, gel and press printing on various forms of fabric, marbling on paper and printing from simple collagraphs.
