Working from your own drawings or photographs, participants will etch information from the image placed underneath a clear perspex plate. Using course cheese cloth printers ink is applied to the plate before light areas are wiped away to create a tonal painting. The plate is then placed on the press, covered with heavy damp Hahnemuhle printing paper and pressed. NB: Participants should wear old clothes or aprons

About the tutor

As a practising artist Rick is passionate about teaching others the skill sets required to empower creativity.He was part of the Canberra Art Workshop management team from 2006-2021 and has also run a life drawing art group every Wednesday evening. Primarily an oil painter, he is also a skilled printmaker.

  • Refunds will be given at CAW’s discretion, if:
    • The participant withdraws from the event or workshop at least 14 days prior to commencement.
    • The place can be filled by someone on the waiting list.
    • The workshop is cancelled by CAW.
