Discover the joy of drawing with acclaimed artist and teacher Leigh D Walker.
This 10-week course offers an inspiring pathway into one of the most essential skills in art. Drawing is the foundation of all visual creativity — and with Leigh’s expert guidance, you’ll learn to see the world differently.
In a relaxed, encouraging studio environment, you’ll explore a rich variety of materials and techniques. From delicate line work to expressive tonal drawing, from creating form to experimenting with shading and subtractive methods, each week opens up new ways of observing and understanding the natural world.
Together, we’ll immerse ourselves in the flora and fauna of Australia and beyond, working through a series of beautiful, nature-inspired drawing projects designed to spark curiosity and deepen your appreciation of the world around you. As your skills grow, so will your confidence — and your ability to translate wonder into marks on the page.
Leigh works closely with each student, offering thoughtful one-on-one support in a fun, non-judgmental atmosphere. You’ll feel guided, not pressured; encouraged, not overwhelmed.
Perfect for absolute beginners and experienced alike, this course is an invitation to slow down, observe, and reconnect with creativity. Expect a nurturing space, plenty of personalised tuition, and a renewed sense of artistic possibility.
