Join Rachel Wykeham (Moodie) for three playful, nourishing weeks exploring mixed media in a fast-paced, warm, and supportive space.

Participants will experiment with paint, ink, collage, pens, pastels, and a wide range of wet and dry mediums—layering materials in expressive, intuitive ways. Rachel will provide plenty of supplies to try, allowing everyone to explore freely and discover what feels most exciting to them.

Throughout the course, participants will explore mark making, colour, texture, and composition ideas, noticing what they naturally enjoy and how to build on it. As the weeks unfold, they will develop a series of works on paper or board, guided by their own preferences and creative instincts.

Along the way, participants will learn how to combine different materials without overwhelm, let go of perfectionism, and quiet the inner critic.

This course is ideal for anyone curious about using a variety of art supplies together for striking results, looking to free up their creativity, or searching for their own unique style in a gentle, encouraging environment.

About the tutor

Rachel Wykeham (Moodie) is an artist, designer and creative based in the NSW Southern Highlands.
With a Fine Arts degree from UNSW and a background in graphic design and arts marketing, Rachel brings both professional experience and a deep love of materials to her teaching. She works predominantly in mixed media and collage – creating layered, expressive works on paper and board, and has been exhibiting her work for over 20 years.
Rachel is passionate about helping others reconnect with their creativity in a way that feels joyful and freeing rather than intimidating. In her workshops, she creates a relaxed, supportive space where artists of all levels can experiment, try something new and build confidence.
