We are a portraiture group with a wide variety of approaches and skill levels. We choose our own media — charcoal, ink (pen, brush or broken stick), pencil, paint (oil, acrylic , gouache or watercolour).
Our models are of a wide age range and sit in the one pose (20 minute time spans) for one session. Participants concentrate on working quietly, but enjoy catching up and discussing their art during the model breaks.
We appraise each other’s work and learn by osmosis, rather than tutoring.
Please bring your own art materials, a drink and a snack if required plus cleaning gear for your area. The CAW room is equipped with tables, easels, donkeys, small tables and chairs.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to help set up. We also appreciate help with packing up after the session. We look forward to seeing you in the studio.

Code of Conduct
CAW has strict rules for Art Groups, Workshops and Courses where a model is present, anyone not adhering to these rules will have their membership immediately cancelled.
