Tutor: Elisa Crossing
Skill Level
Some experience with the medium and/or subject, but looking to learn new techniques and try new materials or those with advanced skills.
Workshop description
Create mashups of your favourite paintings from art history. Combine your most loved elements from two or three different paintings into one new original composition that will be translated into a painting. This workshop, held over two sessions, will explore strategies for merging different images, painting styles and palettes together to achieve a cohesive composition.  If you are curious about what would result from combining the dramatic sky from El Greco’s View of Toledo with Monet’s Waterlilies then this workshop is for you.
